1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using Manomundi, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
2. What Manomundi does
Manomundi is an online platform that introduces vetted Mexican construction workers to Portuguese construction companies and coordinates the administrative steps of the D1 visa application. Manomundi is not the employer of placed workers; the employment relationship is between the worker and the company that hires them.
3. Eligibility
- Workers must be of legal working age, with valid identity documents and the right to apply for a Portuguese D1 visa.
- Companies must be lawfully registered in Portugal with the right to hire foreign workers.
- Recruitment agencies must be authorised to operate in their country of registration and to refer candidates to a third-party platform.
4. Account responsibility
You're responsible for the accuracy of the information in your profile and for keeping your login credentials confidential. Misrepresentation — false experience, falsified documents, fake job postings — is grounds for immediate account termination.
5. Placement fees and commissions
Companies pay a placement fee of 12–20% of the worker's gross annual salary, billed in two milestones (35% on offer acceptance, 65% on worker active on-site). Workers do not pay a fee. Recruitment agencies that registered the worker receive a commission of 10% of annual salary by default, paid in the same two tranches. Specific percentages and any volume bonuses are agreed per company / per agency.
A €500 visa-denial protection retention applies: if the D1 visa is denied for reasons attributable to AIMA processing, the company keeps a credit equal to that amount toward a future placement.
6. Visa coordination
Manomundi prepares and submits the D1 visa application on behalf of the worker, but the final decision rests entirely with AIMA and Portuguese authorities. We make no guarantee of approval, processing time, or specific outcome.
7. Conduct
You agree not to:
- Bypass Manomundi to make placements off-platform with workers introduced via the service.
- Post fraudulent job listings, contracts, or worker profiles.
- Harass, discriminate against, or exploit any other user.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to disrupt the platform.
- Use the service to violate Mexican, Portuguese, or EU law.
8. Refunds
If a placed worker leaves voluntarily within the first 90 days, Manomundi will source a replacement candidate at no additional placement fee, subject to availability. Cash refunds are considered case-by-case where a placement fails for reasons attributable to Manomundi.
9. Intellectual property
The Manomundi platform, brand, source code, and content are owned by Manomundi. You retain ownership of the content you upload (your CV, certifications, etc.); you grant Manomundi a licence to display that content to relevant counter-parties solely for the purpose of running the service.
10. Liability
We provide the platform "as is" and do our best to keep it accurate, secure, and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service or that placements will result. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any single placement is limited to the fees paid to Manomundi for that placement.
11. Termination
You can close your account at any time. We can suspend or close an account that violates these Terms or applicable law, with notice where reasonable.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by Portuguese law. Disputes will be resolved by the courts of Lisbon, unless mandatory consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
